  • The Pain Didn’t Win: Healing from Trauma and Finding God’s Grace (Part 2)

    Grief hits every generation differently.
In Part 1, I shared the trauma that cracked my childhood wide open. But pain didn’t stop there — it came back for our family again.

This time, my mom shares her story.
Losing her husband — my Pop-Pop — changed everything. Watching someone you love carry that kind of heartbreak? That leaves its mark on you, too. This episode is deeply personal because it’s not just about my story — it’s about hers. It’s about ours.

But even in that crushing grief… God was there. Not with quick fixes or pretty answers. But with presence. With peace that didn’t make sense. With the strength to stand when we didn’t think we could.

💔 This one’s for anyone walking through loss that feels too big to bear.
💬 For the ones trying to stay strong for everybody else.
🙏 For the ones still trusting God in the middle of the whys.

What We Talk About in This Episode:
🕊️ Losing a life partner — and the weight no one sees
💔 Watching grief through the eyes of a daughter
💡 How faith doesn’t erase pain, but it does carry you through it
🔥 Holding on to hope when the world goes quiet

    Our anchor verse this time?
    Psalm 30:5 (KJV):

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” 🌿

If you’ve ever whispered, “God, I don’t know how to do this without them”…
    This is for you.
You’re seen. You’re held. And you don’t have to walk it alone.

    Stay rooted. Stay radiant. 🌱✨

Trauma. It’s a heavy word, and it hits differently for everyone.
For me, losing my dad at just 10 years old during a home invasion left a wound that ran deep. That pain held onto me for a long time, and letting go wasn’t easy. But through it all, I’ve discovered something life-changing: God meets us even in the darkest places.
The hardest seasons? They’re part of a bigger story He’s writing. 🌑➡️🌟

In this episode, I open up about the trauma that shaped my childhood and faith — and how healing has looked messy, real, and holy. This is for anyone who feels like their past still has a grip on them. You’re not alone. And the pain? It doesn’t get the final say. 💯❤️

What We Talk About in This Episode:

    • 🖤 When trauma shows up unexpectedly — and how we pretend we’re “okay” while silently breaking inside
    • 🙏 Faith while you’re still bleeding — what it looks like to pray through the pain
    • 🗣️ Generational silence — and why telling the truth can be a form of freedom
    • 🌱 Healing as a process — not perfect, not linear, but absolutely possible
    • Victory in the wreckage — because God didn’t let the pain win

My anchor verse through it all?
    Philippians 4:13 (KJV):

"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." 💪✝️

If this resonates, grab a journal, take a deep breath, and know this: healing is possible, and you don’t have to do it alone. 💖🤝
This is just Part 1. Let’s take this journey together.
