In Philippians 4.12-13, Paul comments, ‘I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation - whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.’ And Psalm 37.16-17 says, ‘Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.’ [14:57]
• Simon’s top tip for opening up conversations about money is to do so in a way that draws people into an exchange of views rather than making them feel defensive as a result of feeling that they are having to justify the way that they deal with money issues. [18:31]
• For Bex, being open and transparent has helped to facilitate constructive discussions and better decision-making as far as money matters are concerned. [20:22]
