  • サマリー

  • Are you unsure of how to tell your family that you have cancer? When I was diagnosed Kate, Gavin and Matt were 10, 9 and 4 so I understand this challenge. On today’s episode of Pause. Breathe. Summary - Reflection and Application

    1. Decide if you will tell them or not.
    2. A thought to help: Treat them the way you would want to be treated.
    3. Be honest.
    4. Keep what you share age appropriate.
    5. Meditate on Psalm 19:14

    Scripture of the Week

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight - Psalm 19:14

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with cancer? Are you feeling worried, scared, and uncertain about the future? Do you need encouragement, support, and hope as you navigate this unexpected journey?

If so, I wholeheartedly understand, and I'm so grateful you are here.

In this podcast, you will learn principles to put into practice to help you keep your eyes, ears, and mind focused on God’s truth to help you experience more peace within as you go through your cancer journey.

My name is Shawn Elizabeth George. I'm a wife, mom of three, dog mom to Georgia, and a follower of Jesus. In 2017, I was diagnosed with a rare salivary gland cancer called adenoid cystic carcinoma. I am now NED (No Evidence of Disease), and I am here to encourage you, and others facing cancer, by sharing what helped me through my journey with cancer. Meditating on God's word is transformational. I pray you take what you learn here and apply it day by day so that you have more rest in your soul.

I invite you to join me to pause, breathe, and pray.

Let's invite God into the conversation and turn to His word so that you can experience His peace. Now it's time for you to sit back, relax, and listen. Let's take a step of faith together on this transformational, healing journey.

    With love, care and hope,

    Shawn
