Rather than focusing on doubt, as in the more commonly told story of Thomas, she highlights the humor, humanity, and deep significance of this Lukan resurrection account. Mother Paige challenges the idea that suffering is part of “God’s plan,” asserting instead that God meets us in our pain, not as its author but as a companion who brings love, healing, and new life. She encourages us to pray, “Stay with us,” especially when the world feels dark, trusting that God’s ultimate word is always one of peace, grace, and love.
