In May 2001, the city of New Delhi was seized by fear. Hundreds of residents reported attacks by a mysterious, simian-like creature with glowing red eyes and metallic claws. It leapt across rooftops, vanished in the darkness, and left scratch marks and panic in its wake. As rumours spread, vigilantes took to the streets, and people died trying to escape a monster that may never have existed.
