This week was buzzing! in honor of Mother's Day, the residents of The Maria Center shared memories of Motherhood, or memories of their own mothers. One resident shared a sentiment, that made a lasting impact!

Hive Member Tony was able to go to his VERY first concert, we gave away tickets to the Donuts & Beer Festival, visited the students of Walt Disney Elementary with the B100 Morning Show Book Club, met a local veteran with Flags for Vets, and had the chance to interview all the contestants from Oaklawn's Got Talent!

Plus, we met the incredible staff and athletes with the Special Olympics!

Today was very special as we had the opportunity to highlight a new addition to Michiana that will truly change lives!

The city of Mishawaka’s Parks and Recreation Foundation has paired up with The Miracle League to construct a new Miracle Field for individuals with disabilities. The new Miracle Field will be at Normain Heights Park. The city of Mishawaka strives to be inclusive of every patron, and the new Miracle Field will be a substantial stride toward that goal. Officials have said that a Miracle League Field will be a more condensed, specially designed field allowing individuals of all ages with a physical or cognitive disability to play baseball.

“The vision always was to find a way to build a park to allow everyone to call it home, with something to do no matter their ability.” Superintendent of Mishawaka Parks, Phil Blasko.
