  • Episode 17 - WHAT IF We Have Made PROGRESS on ARQUETTE?
    2024/10/29

Episode 17 is live! The whole gang—@DanuelKC, @WrestlingMark16, @that_bald_bro, @MikeGwpod, and @davGWP—are here, but @andyricflair is off on a top-secret mission, digging into the Arquette connection.

This week, we break down PROGRESS Wrestling’s Werewolves of London show! Dan was there live at the Electric Ballroom, and the rest of us caught it on stream, so we’ve got a full review. Freddy from Elm Street was spotted in the crowd (yes, really), and Simon Miller made sure to bring his usual ups and downs energy.

Plus, the usual Groupchat rambling, including a deep dive into wrestling “what ifs.” Ever wondered what would’ve happened if Repo Man took Hogan’s spot in the nWo?

Give it a listen, have a laugh, and let us know what you think! 🎙️ #WrestlingPodcast #PROGRESSWrestling #BritWres

  • Episode 16 - The Numbers Don’t Lie, and They Spell Disaster
    2024/10/22

Episode 16 is here, and Andy, Wrestling Mark, Dan, and Mike are back, with Dav returning as well! Brett (@that_bald_bro) is out this week, but don’t worry—Mike and Andy just got back from Rev Pro Global Wars, and we’ve got plenty to talk about. 🤼‍♂️

With his Columbo coat on, Andy has pieced together all the evidence to exclusively reveal who’s really behind the chaos caused by Jon Moxley’s new group. We break down what could happen over the next 12 months—who might turn, who should turn, and who will step up to challenge the madness.

We also dive deep into the Rev Pro Global Wars event, future AEW storylines, and answer some listener questions that led to great discussions. Expect the usual rants and tangents! 🎙️

  • Episode 15 - Hey Now Hey Now Don’t WrestleDream It’s Over
    2024/10/15

Episode 15 is here, and Andy, Wrestling Mark, Dan, Brett, and Mike are back to break down the wild ride that was WrestleDream! 🤼‍♂️

Not a bad match in sight, and honestly, we can forgive the storyline fumbles for a week. Is this AEW’s restart? Or just a blip before more chaos? We dive into Bryan Danielson’s future—is this the end of his run, or are we just getting worked again?

We also rave about the 23-star(come on, Dave must have loved it) 3-way match between Will Ospreay, Takeshita, and Ricochet, a classic we’ll be talking about for a long time. Oh, and what’s the deal with Moxley’s new group? We’re all wondering who’s behind it... and no, it’s not Konnan.

Join us for the usual rants, breakdowns, and wrestling banter. 🎙️

  • Episode 14 –Hi, I’ve Decided I’m Good Now
    2024/10/08

It’s Episode 14 of the Group Chat Wrestling Podcast, and this week, it’s Andy (@andyricflair), Wrestling Mark (@WrestlingMark16), and Dan (@DanuelKC) unravelling the madness that is the past week of AEW.

First, we dive into AEW’s new TV deal and what it means for the future, but soon after, things get messy. Midweek booking decisions have been as random as a Memento re-run, with stories that just expect us to forget what happened last week. Then there’s mortgage advisor elder abuse—yes, you read that right—and how it all somehow ties into wrestling’s weird week.

But don’t worry, we find hope in WrestleDream, where nearly every match has Match of the Year potential, despite the nonsensical build-up. And of course, we can’t forget Andy continuing to sprinkle Outrunners quotes throughout the show, as we are still pushing for that long-overdue tag title run for @TruthMagnum and @turbofloyd_. Tony’s got to be catching on... eventually, right?

If you enjoy our ramblings, come join us in the Discord to chat wrestling and hang out.

  • Episode 12 – Timecop Is the Best Movie of All Time, So Tony... Please Strap the Outrunners!
    2024/10/01

It’s Episode 12 of the Group Chat Wrestling Podcast! This week, Dan, Andy, Mike are joined by the long-awaited returns of Wrestling Mark and Dav, who’ve both been MIA but are back and ready to dive into the chaos.

We kick things off by discussing Ray Fenix’s contract situation—what does this mean for AEW moving forward? Then we break down Dynamite’s 5th Anniversary show, calling out a few folks who deserve it along the way.

With WrestleDream less than two weeks away and only one match announced, we’re left wondering what’s going on. And of course, we plead with Tony Khan to strap the Outrunners already, because let's be honest, Timecop is the best movie of all time, and these guys need the gold.

Although Brett couldn’t join us live, he sent in a special interview segment with @shannahill07, where she sheds some insider light on the AEW contract drama.

Packed with the usual tangents, Episode 12 is one you won’t want to miss!

  • Episode 11 - Legends, Derangements, and Tangents… So Many Tangents
    2024/09/23

Episode 11 is live! This week, Mike, Andy, Dan, and the returning Dav are joined by special guests @awfullywaffly and @wrassletrash from the @WafflyBollox crew. We had a blast going off on tangents (as usual), but let’s be honest, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

We kicked things off talking about the Outrunners, still the fresh air AEW needs, and then went down a bunch of wild roads. From our Grand Slam predictions (happening this Wednesday!) to Jeff Jarrett's legendary status, and the rise of Jericho Derangement Syndrome (JDS), we’ve covered all the bases.

We also dug into the Hangman vs. Swerve feud—what a showdown! But we’re hoping this rivalry takes a breather for a while. And yes, we couldn’t help but speculate on what Prince Nana can do to crank up that heel heat (maybe throw coffee in a kid’s face?!). And, of course, we’re pumped for Rev Pro Global Wars.

Packed with random tangents, unfiltered takes, and plenty of laughs. Big thanks to @DanuelKC for the editing magic—Episode 11 is ready for you now!

  • Episode 10 – The Outrunners: "Get to the JetSki!"
    2024/09/16

It’s Episode 10 of the Group Chat Wrestling Podcast! Mike, Andy, Brett, and Wrestling Mark are back with their usual mix of wild rants, wrestling predictions, and plenty of swearing. This time, we dive into our WrestleDream predictions and ask the big question—where is Mox’s Blackpool Combat Club headed? With Dynamite reactions running high, we break down the overreactions and give our hot takes on what’s really going on in AEW.

But the stars of the show? The Outrunners—over as f***, cruising through AEW like 80s action heroes on jet skis. As we like to say, “Get to the JetSki!” because these guys are ready to take over with speed, power, and a ton of charisma.

As usual, we veer off into some epic tangents, dropped a ton of F-bombs, and had a lot of laughs.

  • Episode 9 – A Needle, a Cinderblock, and a Plastic Bag Walk Into a Bar
    2024/09/09

Welcome to Episode 9 of the Group Chat Wrestling Podcast! This week, Wrestling Mark leads the crew, with AEW Blog joining us as a special guest to dive into the absolute chaos of All Out 2024. We’re covering everything, from legendary matches to jaw-dropping betrayals.

We kick things off with Daniel Garcia’s massive win over MJF, sparking a wave of speculation about what this victory means for his future in AEW. Then we can’t stop raving about the phenomenal Will Ospreay vs. PAC match, which might just be one of the best of the year.

Next up, we break down the incredible women’s street fight—a brutal showdown that’s already being called one of the best women’s matches not only of the year but possibly of all time. Trust us, you won’t want to miss our take on this one.

And then, we dive into the final chaos: Bryan Danielson’s shocking betrayal at the hands of the Blackpool Combat Club, complete with a plastic bag in a horrifying attempted murder scene. We wrap up with Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page, where cinderblocks and needles turn the ring into a battlefield, making it another candidate for attempted murder #2 of the night.

Expect brutal match breakdowns, unfiltered rants, and a whole lot of laughs as we dissect AEW’s wildest weekend yet.
