However, due to colonialism, imperialism, and Eurocentrism, their achievements have been downplayed or outright ignored in history books and educational curriculums. It is imperative that we acknowledge and celebrate the incredible legacy of Moorish culture and ensure that it is rightfully recognized for its invaluable contributions to human knowledge and progress. It's time to give credit where credit is due.

This willful forgetfulness allows us to ignore the systemic injustices that continue to harm marginalized communities today. It's time to confront our past with honesty and humility, acknowledging the harm done and working towards true reconciliation and justice for all. Only by facing our history head-on can we truly move forward as a more equitable and united society. Let us not shy away from uncomfortable truths; let us learn from them and strive to be better as a nation.
