Galway-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gráinne Cotter popped into Gavin Glass in the Nova.ie 'Locals Only' studio last week. She chats to Gavin about her life and music and plays us a few tunes!

Described as sounding like somewhere between The Jesus And Mary Chain and Ride - it's no wonder Sun Mahshene are creating a stir. The band started as a bedroom band in 2014 and are a fantastic guitar-driven indie music band. They dropped into Gavin Glass in the Locals Only Studio to talk about themselves and their music.

Daniel John Paxton is no stranger to success. As a key member of some of Ireland's most successful bands (Sweet Jane / Buffalo Sunn / The Brothers Movement), he has opened for The Jesus and Mary Chain at The Roundhouse, supported The Lemonheads and Michael Nau and toured the UK with The Besnard Lakes - which led to Jace Lacek of The Besnard Lakes mixing Railway Line. He joins Gavin Glass this week on the Locals Only Podcast, where he plays us some music from his first solo album.

Bass player, educator, record producer, session player Robbie Malone pops into Gavin Glass in the Locals Only Studio and talks about the revival of Irish rock back LiR with the live streaming of their very first album. Rob is best-known as the bass player for David Gray. His bass playing career began with the formation LiR in the late 80's. He's also co-produced the last three David Gray albums; two of which have been in the Billboard Top 10 album charts in the US. Over the course of his career, Robbie has played on many world tours with David Gray, and has performed in well-known venues including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Guitarist Bill Shanley dropped in to chat with Gavin Glass in the Locals Only studio this week. Bill is one of Ireland's top session and touring guitar players and producers. He has also established himself internationally through touring and contributing to albums with Ray Davies, Paul Brady, Mary Black, Roy Harper, Gilbert O Sullivan, Alexandra Burke, Sinead O’Connor, Judy Collins to name a few.

Matthew Devereux of Irish bank, The Pale, popped in to see Gavin Glass in the Locals Only studio at Radio Nova. The Pale formed in 1990 and have made more than 12 albums. We hear about a year in the life of the Pale, they have a new record due out on April 12th, "Merciful Hour" and hear lots more about the band.
