    "it's a small world" has been delighting Guests for decades at the Disney castle parks around the world and in honor of its 60th anniversary year, Scott shares some pretty cool and lesser-known fun facts about this classic attraction.


    Scott also talks about two new restaurants where he ate on a recent trip to Walt Disney World - Steakhouse 71 and Chefs de France.   • Michael "Koz" Kosarin - Part 1
    2024/09/17

    Michael "Koz" Kosarin is a 2-time Emmy Award winner and a three-time Grammy-nominated recording artist and producer for his work on Broadway in Disney’s Aladdin, Newsies, and The Little Mermaid.

    Koz has had a happy collaboration as music director and arranger for legendary composer Alan Menken for over thirty years, beginning with the Broadway adaptation of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 1993, and it continues to this day in theater, film, television, and concerts.


    The Disney films you and your family will know his work from begins with Pocahontas, and proceed through Hercules, Enchanted and Disenchanted, Tangled, Home on the Range, Wreck-it Ralph II, and the live action films of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid. Koz is currently at work with Mr. Menken on a new film called Spellbound, which is due out in theaters by the end of this year.


    He's also currently the music director of Aladdin on Broadway, which celebrated its tenth anniversary this past March. Prior to that, his shows with Alan Menken include Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Sister Act, Leap of Faith, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He’s worked steadily on Broadway since 1982, beginning with the show Nine. Some other Broadway credits include Grand Hotel, The Secret Garden, and A Chorus Line.


    And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Koz also conducted and was the song arranger for Captain America: The First Avenger and arranged for and performed with the Boston Pops. He guest conducted the NY Pops, the NY Philharmonic, and Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and conducted Disney films live to picture in venues from The Hollywood Bowl to Tokyo’s Budokan. He’s worked with legendary artists such as Eddie Fisher, Carly Simon, Barbara Cook, Jane Krakowshi, Kerry Butler, and Lang Lang.


    Scott and Koz have been chatting for over a year about this interview and in Scott's words, "It’s been worth the wait!"

  • Angie Schworer

    Angie Schworer is a Broadway stage actress and dancer who got her start working at Walt Disney World, where she performed in 15 Years of Magic and the Diamond Horseshoe Revue, and she opened Disney MGM Studios!


    From there, Angie headed to New York where her Broadway career started in 1991 when she booked "The Will Rogers Follies." She went on to shows such as "Crazy For You," "Sunset Boulevard," "Annie Get Your Gun," "Young Frankenstein," "Catch Me If You Can" (where she was an Astaire Award nominee), "Big Fish," "Something Rotten!," and most recently played Minnie in "Some Like It Hot."


    Despite these amazing credits, Angie's probably best known for 2 shows. The first was "The Producers" in 2001. She was in the original Broadway cast an ensemble member and was the Ulla understudy. She also did the national tour for a year, and then returned to Broadway in 2003 and served as the permanent Ulla replacement until the show closed in 2007, making her the longest-running Ulla. She was also in the 2005 movie starring Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, and Will Ferrell. The other show she’s best known for is "The Prom," where she starred as Angie Dickinson. She was nominated for the 2019 Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Female Dancer in a Broadway Show for her performance.

    If you’ve seen a Broadway show at any point in the last 30 or so years, chances are you’ve seen Victor Amerling's work. He’s worked on shows including the original productions of "A Chorus Line," "Sweeney Todd," "My One and Only," "Les Miserables," "Annie," "Smokey Joe’s Cafe," "Big River," "Biloxi Blues," "Song and Dance," "Nine," "Miss Saigon," and "The Phantom of the Opera." He also toured with "Annie," "My One and Only," and "Carousel."


    For Disney Theatricals, Victor was the production prop supervisor for "Mary Poppins" and is the current production prop supervisor for "The Lion King." He’s also the head of the prop department at the New Amsterdam Theatre, where "Aladdin" resides.
