You Are A Champion was WHSmith’s Book of the Year in 2021, and was the number one bestselling children’s book.

That said most probably know Carl Anka as a football journalist who covers Manchester United but his story is so much more than football journalism. The goal was never to end up in the field and his career journey has not followed a conventional or linear path.

This episode is one for all listeners but will particularly interest those who have a desire to work in sports journalism or are interested in the minutiae of creative writing.
