In this two-parter episode, Scott is joined by returners to the podcast Jarrett Moses, Sergine Citerme, and Jake Doggett. The group talks about our team’s first ever “Oracles” which happened on Saturday March 29th, 2025. The Christian Spoken Word showcase was hosted at Christ Community Church in Philadelphia.

In part 1 the episode begins with the team sharing the backstory of how Oracles became a reality. The story includes multiple previous episodes on the Time is Ripe including the “Pass The Mic” tour and the Ripe Poetry’s trip to Texas.

Once the stage is set the episode talks about the planning process before diving into the night of the event. This episode focuses mostly on the first half of the lineup. In this episode, Scott is joined by Ripe Artist Gabriel Angrand aka “AVG” to talk about Encounter Vol 3. Encounter night are hosted by spoken word artist Jay Avery in Whippany, New Jersey. Volume 3 took place on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 and featured Ripe Artists AVG and Craig Watson.

The first portion of the episode focuses a lot on Scott’s history with Jay Avery and how Encounter nights have gone in the past. AVG all shares about his first impressions after getting to the space on March 22nd.

The middle half of the episode centers on each of the artists sets on the showcase including shoutout to many of the artists who performed. The duo takes a good bit of time to talk about Craig’s set specifically.

The episode ends with talking about the impact of the night and shares some of the hope Ripe Creatives has to stay connected to future volumes of “Encounter.” We hope you enjoyed today’s episode.
