Morry Frenkel speaks with Timothy Wainwright, Executive Director of Operation Fire Support (OFS), an NGO dedicated to providing and improving fire and emergency training and education, and improving community emergency preparedness and prevention, both within Australia and around the globe. After several missions to Israel, beginning in 2019 following the use by Hamas and other militant groups of incendiary kites and balloons to start fires, OFS has embarked on a 4-year program aimed at creating a nationally recognised regime for emergency response teams and establishing bushfire mitigation, bushfire hazard reduction and community resilience in Israeli communities. Timothy is a guest speaker at the JNF’s Green Week and will appear in Victoria on the 12th of February at the community event, Rising from the Ashes: Building a Resilient Future for Israel’s Border Communities, and at the Tu Bishvat Morning Tea and Insights event on the 13th of February.
