It is said that on the internet you can be whoever you want to be.

For some, this is true in real life too and so it was for Mike Newitt. Facing financial ruin, the married father re-invented his life to be a secret agent of the Govt so convincingly that even his work colleagues and his wife believed him. But it didn't end well for Mike.

The consequences were shocking.

This episode also reflects on the warning signs of coercive and controlling behaviour, and the importance of early intervention in situations involving young people and abuse.
