    The language a child hears will be the language that follows them into adulthood
    It will sound like support and understanding, or it will sound like put downs - don’t let it be the latter
    As adults, supporting my mother with understanding and empathy is the key to creating those safe spaces that we have always needed

They had reasons for accepting #colonization as a good thing. But we know better, especially as it all unravels. As they attempt to erase our ancestral histories, we must do all we can to reclaim it together.
