This is a fundamental stock analysis of Chevron stock (CVX stock). I analyze Chevron stock using fundamental metrics including revenue, net income, shares outstanding, cash and short term investments, total liabilities, dividend yield, dividend growth, dividend safety and the price to earnings ratio (PE ratio). The technical stock analysis portion of this video covers technical tools including the standard deviation channel, support and resistance and the relative strength index (RSI). Chevron is a dividend growth stock with a high dividend yield but with a high payout ratio too. CVX currently has a low PE ratio compared to the S&P 500 (VOO). Chevron could be a good long term investment but I wouldn’t consider it a sleep well at night stock partly based on the volatility of Brent Crude. I also reference other oil companies in the video like Saudi Aramco as they are one of the largest oil companies in the world by market capitalization (market cap).
