Using Privilege to Give and Connect

  • サマリー

  • In today's episode, continuing the series of conversations we've been having with Susan Brown, we touch on two broad and sensitive topics: privilege and coping with the world around us. Susan is a Mental Health Counselor and Brain Injury Specialist; she owns Boulder Semita Counseling, a private practice where she helps communities through a person-centered, humanistic, transpersonal lens.

Throughout this episode, you'll hear Susan's unique perspective on privilege, her analysis on using the power granted by privilege to build, and get closer to others, and how transformational it can be for folks to look at themselves and recognize their privileges. You'll also hear Susan's thoughts on intersectionality and how we can use this concept to better understand others, and respect and honor our uniqueness.

Additionally, Susan shares golden nuggets on coping with the chaotic reality developing around us, physical interventions for stress release, resources for practicing mindfulness, and much more.
