  • EP 2: What even is procrastination?
    2025/01/16

    Procrastination....

How do I even begin to describe that. Fighting something you can't understand is a losing battle. Over the years, from high school to college to becoming an adult, I never understood what 'procrastination' really meant along with 'productivity.' I've always thought of it as something that I'll live with for the rest of my life.

One day I snapped out of it. I've met my therapist and I've done so much work for myself since then. I've asked myself 'would you want your future to look like you're running after your career along with your responsibilities as an adult?,' which brought me to listen to my therapist and absorb all the words she's trying to let me understand, listen to other podcasts and read books on how to fix it, and here we are on this very day.

I hope that you get to share your takeaways and let me know about it. I love, love, love seeing you guys listening to this. Don't forget to share it to a friend who needs to hear it.

    Love, Dixie

  • Dixie's Relationship Guide
    2024/12/10

This has been in the works for too long and was supposed to come out about 2 weeks ago. I have been M.I.A for the past two months for so many reasons and I'm trying to grasp the courage to come back out again and continue what I've started. Being in emotional distress has affected me a lot in my life including committing to my priorities and I solely apologize for that

But this has been delayed for so many reasons, one of which I've just gotten out of a long term relationship. This segment doesn't even give any justice to what I have been reflecting on and learning since, so I might do another part without getting emotional in between. I've summoned up the courage to do this and this is the outcome that I've come through and I really do hope you'll learn as much.

This is Dixie's Relationship Guide on Tender After Tough. I love yall.

  • EP 4: Please don’t get me wrong
    2024/09/28

Let’s rummage to where people get us wrong every single time. And I kid you not, 90% of the time, even with the tiniest interaction a lot are quick to come up with conclusions that most often than not are not entirely the whole novel. As a girl who once lived in the world of gossip and fear of not being liked by people, I now understand why people want to keep their circle small, and why choosing to keep your peace is known as a very underrated luxury. And let’s talk about it.

  • you don't have to be sorry
    2024/09/21

Getting older is a privilege not every person has but at the same time it is one of the saddest yet happiest, and one of the most humbling experience anyone could ever go through.

The take away from this is to allow yourself to meet people from different backgrounds with different walks of life, be open with the lessons and personal experiences they're sharing. Collect those knowledge, because there will come a time where you would need those.

One day when you set foot in the position they were once in you would know what to do. You wouldn't have to choose and debate with your inner thoughts, because somebody has already been there and it's your decision to choose whether to go in the same direction or the other.

And when you do, stand on what you chose and keep going.
