著者: Matthew Plotner
  • サマリー

  • After we get through all that anger management crap what do we do next? Are we a completely new person now? Maybe.
How do we go about rebuilding the relationships harmed by destructive emotions? That is what we will do here. • Just Be Happy
    2022/02/23

Please stop telling people that it is just as simple as “all you have to do is choose to be happy!” This is dangerous and damaging to people. They feel broken or wrong when they can’t choose to be “happy”. What does it mean to be happy?

  • The Value of Vulnerability
    2022/02/09
As men, we are taught that to be venerable is to be weak. It is not manly to cry or share your emotional life. When we allow ourselves to open up we can finally be opened to live in freedom.
Never mind, I had a plan for this episode and it just didn't work. So instead you're getting me, vulnerable and open. What better way to have an episode on vulnerability than to just be. I share some stories that occurred this week that knocked me back a few steps. Thanks for listening. Get bonus content on Patreon

  • Apology Paralysis

Make an apology that is meaningful. If in your words you still blame “others” it is not going to be heard. Find a way to take ownership of your part without negating the experience of others. There is a great deal of power in a simple “I'm sorry.” Don't get hung up on being right, or showy. Once you realize your mistake take ownership, say sorry, and move on. Your partner will thank you.
