    2025/06/12

It's another Friday so Gill and Pete are back with another instalment of the only fact based podcast worth listening to... according to some people.

This week Gill brazenly wears trousers and explains why it was once a bold act of rebellion. She then spills the tea on some great Victorian phrases such as "bitch the pot" (apologoies). But the big question of the week is actually, what is an interrobang!?

Pete tells us about the incredible survival skills of Victoria Cilliers who was in the news 10 years ago after a shocking attempt on her life. He also tells us a fact that is in fact, Pope based fiction and finally tells us the wonderful story of André Gardes who saw the island of Sark and fancied himself a little invasion but it didn't go quite to plan.

So Gill and Pete both managed to get through this episdoe whilst both feeling a little "not up to dick" but at least they don't "have the morbs".

All the questions you never knew you wanted to ask...

    2025/06/05

Into June we go marking 6 months of Facts The Way I Like It!!

Episode 26 sees yet more mad facts and interesting stories from Gill and Pete.

This week, Pete shares the story of Torbjørn Pedersen who visited every country on the planet without using aircraft, a story of incredible life saving heroism over Niagara Falls and finds proof that working short hours is definitely the most productive way to be.

Gill tells us that the podcast is actually being released every sennight, shares stories from the glory days of Air Travel, including pub flights, dancefloors in the sky and "friendship rooms" and finally she tells us the heart-warming story of "fast surgery" and how in the 1800s a surgeon could kill 3 people with one hectic medical procedure... only one of which, was the patient.

So now we're off to be bystanders in an operating theatre.
