About Mickey Burnim: Mickey L. Burnim's career spanning over 40 years exemplifies servant leadership across multiple institutions. He served in key roles, including Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of North Carolina system office, Provost at North Carolina Central University, Interim Chancellor and Chancellor at Elizabeth City State University, and President of Bowie State University. Burnim also chaired boards for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities and the Central Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Additionally, he took interim presidential positions at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Coppin State University. Since 2017, Burnim has continued his impact as a consultant and certified executive coach.
