The Miami Hurricanes defense let them down again in a 42-41 shootout loss to the Iowa State Cyclones.

Miami surrendered 415 total yards and lost the game despite 524 yards of offense. Star quarterback Cam Ward started the game but only played the first half. Ward threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the NCAA’s all-time leader in Division 1 touchdowns with 508. Backup quarterback Emory Williams finished the game, but struggled. Did Williams’ performance show us that he should not be the future at the quarterback position?
