On this episode, we talk to a former high school and college football standout from my hometown. My guest is Adrian—known to everyone in Edna, Texas as Winky. Wink played multiple sports in high school, but his best one wasn’t even football—it was tennis. Still, that’s not what stands out most to me. What I remember is his leadership. He was a good listener, empathetic, kind but fair, and always willing to help. All traits his Granny, Corinne Robinson, instilled in him from a young age—values he still carries with him today. We also talk about the very real fear of eating other people’s cooking… because, well, you never know who’s trying to poison you.
