Maggie Murphy has been away from home too long, and her brother Charlie has made a mess of the family’s ranch and the family’s reputation. Max Welling, the cowboy who saves Maggie from a band of trail robbers, doesn’t even know her, and he already hates her guts.

When Charlie kidnaps three small children, Maggie realizes how deep her brother’s treachery runs, and she vows to stop Charlie before more innocent people get hurt. But Maggie is just one woman, and Charlie has forty gunslinging cowboys at his command.

Can Maggie swallow her pride long enough to ask Max Welling for help? Can Max let go of his hatred for the Murphys long enough to help Maggie right a horrible wrong? Will either of them be able to look past their differences and find space for love?
