The Centaurs of Roan

Locket, a page in the Castle of Bay, and Skyelyn, the Empress of Roan, ruling an empire of centaurs, have fallen for one another, but before they can confess, Roan is attacked by Travania. With Locket left to wander the smoke-laced fields, the city having been decimated by the Travanian Army, not knowing what had become of the Empress or anyone he held dear.

However, the page’s troubles have only just begun. While many centaurs have died in the initial attack, the survivors face a much crueler fate, to become riding mounts to trolls–or worse. In a world where he must now struggle to survive, Locket’s fate with Skyelyn seems star-crossed at best. But even the most beautiful flower can grow from the ashes, if only it can take root.
