27. Should My Child Go To College? INFJ, Emma B. Perez, Career Coach Talks About Today's Current Landscape

  • サマリー

  • Do you have a child who is facing college in the next few years or a child who has dropped out? Many students drop out of college early because they weren’t ready. Maybe you know that the classroom is not your child’s happy place or your child hasn’t done their best in school. This episode discusses how college is not the only path to consider for your child’s future. Sometimes practical lion types and other perceiving free-spirited, creative or neurodivergent types prefer non-traditional paths. Episode 2 talks about the four people patterns and my last two episodes have been about type 7’s who tend to have multiple interests and may have ADHD or similar tendencies.

A job is just one type of income stream out of 8 that you and your soon to be adult child can consider. Not only that but the job landscape is changing at a rapid speed. There will be jobs available when they graduate from college that don’t exist when they graduate from High School.

Find out the two main ways young adults approach this major life transition and how you can help them. If you are wondering how to find the right educational path for your child, tune into this episode where I interview Emma B. Perez career coach, author of What’s the Point of School and creator of LifeQuest which is a gamified program to take your child from undecided to excited. Before we start this episode I want to remind you that the first step is to take my free child temperament test at WendyGossett.com and schedule a free chat so we can talk about your child’s result. I evaluate the test personally which is what sets it apart from other free tests on the internet.
