𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗬 (𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 16:12-15): "I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now." "But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]." "He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you." "Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you." 𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗬? The spirit of prophecy is not another spirit. He is not a separate God the Almighty or Jesus Christ the Son, but same with Jesus Christ and God the Almighty. In other words, He is God but in another dimension of activities called 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗬!!! He is The Spirit of Truth spoken of by Jesus Christ to His disciples before His death, that should come into them. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗬? We did do some explanations of what prophecy is all about etymologically. According to the previous explanation, prophecy is derived from two Greek words: “pro” meaning “forth” and “phemi” meaning “to speak ”. So prophecy is all about speaking forth the mind and counsel of God as in meaning propheteia in Greek. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗢𝗙 𝗚𝗢𝗗? For example, in: “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” God spoke through the Prophet, Jeremiah, during the time when king Nebuchadnezzar carried the Israelites as captives to his land, Babylon, that He knows His THOUGHTS towards them, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give them a future and a hope. What could God be insinuating by that? Here is it, we all know that there's no peace or hope or future to be proud of or boast for while in captivity. A lawful prisoner (a convict) is without a hope or peace of mind, but awaits a final day of his or her extermination. So, a prisoner (a convict) is liable to die. Now, we can understand that God spoke about their salvation from such condition through the Prophet Jeremiah. This is equally a figurative communication of the state of the human race, which is naturally sinful and captive of Satan and his agents, without God's fear in them and without His knowledge too. No one obeys His voice nor cared to. However, beyond this, God still spoke of His promise for their salvation from satanic captivity through His prophets. Just the way it happened between Jeremiah and their captivity in Babylon. God made His thoughts, the content of His mind, for humanity to humanity, which is Salvation. So, the mind of God has been to save and not to kill. (2Pet.3.9): “The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people 's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.” This is the mind of God, to save. Now, 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦? They are simply the contents of the mind of God towards humanity. What contents? To bring humanity to the knowledge of Himself. To reveal the reality of His existence, character and identity to humanity. Remember, this was said to the disciples specifically and in their writings, they did do justice to that. They wrote the mind of God. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘵'𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘰...
