  • Dudley Stephens Co-Founders, Kaki McGrath & Lauren Stephens
    2025/03/20

Dudley Stephens is celebrating a business milestone as they approach their 10 year anniversary this year and I had the opportunity to sit down with their founders and hear their story. I am so impressed by Kaki & Lauren and the business they have built. Yes, I love their amazing product but did you know that they have recycled 8.5 million bottles? Did you know that they have created a supportive work environment for their team and offer moms flexibility?

I know that I can hardly go anywhere without seeing at least one person wearing their elevated fleeces. Kaki McGrath & Lauren Dudley, along with their mother, Bonnie and a small investment from their father, launched Dudley Stephens when they recognized a gap in the market. Wanting to wear something cozy (fleece- reminiscent of their past) & elevated but unable to source that exact piece, they set out to create their own version. From the early beginnings to managing a team, Dudley Stephens has stayed true to their brand story and identity. Their pieces are easy to wear and eliminate wardrobe overthinking. Their fleeces can be worn day to night, paired with leggings or throw on their blazer with jeans or over a skirt/dress. They have mastered the silhouettes and offer seasonal fabrications... making them a year round must have for every closet. Hint...Cant wait to see their May drop :)

    In this episode we cover:

-Navigating early start up days (Kaki built their website overnight when their designer ghosted them 2 weeks before launch)

    -Sourcing & Manufacturing

-Expansion and staying true to the brand identity

-Business model decision / online presence /cadence of their business

-Power of email marketing (hint..start building your email list now)

    -Social Media Strategies & Authenticity

    -Balancing motherhood

-Sustainable fashion (they have recycled 8.5 million bottles!!!!)

-Created a flexible work environment for moms!!

-10 year partnerships that we can check out this year

I hope you enjoy this episode!
