**ACOTAR SPOILERS** In this episode, we discuss Feyre’s first meeting with the Suriel! We start with an opening question about what we would ask the Suriel about the Maasverse and then we tear the scene apart. What does it mean that the Suriel is “older than the bones of this world”? Why does Feyre differentiate between her and the part of her that is “human” here? Is Feyre seeing through glamours a bit more because people were trying to stop her? We also see some foreshadowing (hindsight is 20/20) of her being bored/trapped in the Spring Court already. Then we discuss the Kaltain theory, the High Lord’s power and the Suriel’s power (is it “truth”?) and who does the Suriel consider his “brethren”? Which family is the Suriel talking about and did he really mean Rhys or did he just kinda go with it when he sees her in ACOMAF lol. We’ve got lots of fun discussion about the map, the hints that may or may not be in this scene about future books and multiverse crossover, etc. As always, there’s a mix of crackpot theories and normal discussions (is Rhys a valg? **SPOILER WARNING**

In this episode we stumble across a new theory during the ep about Lucien actually trying to get Tamlin to team up with Hybern allll the way back here in ACOTAR Chapter 12. This theory centers around the conversation that Feyre overhears which is mysterious on first read, seeming to be about the curse on the reread but when you really think about it and examine what they're saying--it seems to be about something different. It really seems like Lucien is trying to urge Tamlin to give up with Feyre in favor of a more straightforward solution via Hybern's army and that Tamlin finally starts really trying with Feyre because he doesn't want to go to Hybern. This ep was super fun and kind of wild (a few tangents: fear of buttholes, bathtub scene illiteracy, and more!).
