  • Ep 112: Shame On Your Body!
    2025/02/25
There is no positive outcome that stems from body shaming, yet it continues to be integrated into society, culture, and education through visual imagery and speech. We repeatedly attempt to fix the problem with Band-Aids. However, accessing the root of the issue requires much more than silly Band-Aids that look from the outside in. Accessing the root requires deep personal transformation which, for many, is too confronting and time and energy-consuming. In this episode, we discuss our past and current relationship with body shaming. Hearing body shaming since childhood We were ruthless to others because we were ruthless to ourselves Noticing how you feel inside Understand what’s underneath the judgment first Body shaming comes down to lack of self-love Society and education inputs shame We try to make ourselves feel better by making someone else feel worse Comparison to other people Can we accept others and ourselves for who we are and continue to grow? ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 111: New Year's Resolutions Don't Work
    2025/02/18
January has a flavor of new beginnings, a chance at a fresh start. We’ve all experienced creating a New Year’s resolution, starting it, and falling off within a short period of time. Seemingly highly motivated at first, why do we quit so soon? What’s wrong with us? In this episode, we discuss subconscious beliefs and setting ourselves up for sustainable transformation regardless of when we decide to begin. Why we quit on New Year's resolutions and goals What’s your plan and who are you going to be during the process? Reinforcing subconscious self-doubt Intention to improve stemming from what’s wrong with us Setting drastic big goals is not how you achieve sustainable transformation A shift in identity has to happen before we see certain results People have a goal, come up against strong resistance, and use twisted logic to make the resistance justifiable What do you need to close the gaps? Find an accountability buddy ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi

  • Ep 110: The Wisdom Of Frustration
    2025/02/11
We often experience frustration because our expectations do not match reality. Taking a moment to pause reveals many more instances of frustration than we were aware of. The rabbit hole can go deep. Acknowledging the frustration and staying curious about the root of it in each situation leads us toward invaluable insight into ourselves. The most common trap of processing frustration is blaming others and external circumstances, thereby avoiding the hidden wisdom. In this episode, we discuss how frustration is a powerful signal for us to pause and reflect deeply. Frustration with letting go of old identities When expectations don’t meet reality Expectations of others can leave us feeling powerless Kids are a reflection of parents up until a certain age Faulty premises Expectations vs. goals The secret sauce is in the alignment of the goal Clarity around your frustration ------------------------- CONNECT WITH JEFF: Website: https://jeffmillercoaching.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffmillercoaching/ IG: @jeffmillercoaching FB: https://www.facebook.com/jeff.miller.7965 Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/jeffmillercoaching CONNECT WITH TATSU: Website: https://tatsuyafushimi.com LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tatsuyafushimi/ IG: @tatsuyafushimi FB: https://www.facebook.com/tatsuya.fushimi.9/ Books: https://www.amazon.com/author/tatsuyafushimi
