  • Episode 95 Underrecovery, Overtraining, and Working Hard
    2025/06/09

In this episode I try to go deeper into the idea of underrecovering, overtraining, and working hard. I feel like there is often an emotion response to these words, so the discussion never gets taken deeper. In this episode I talk about these things and try to bring a more thorough concept to them. I explain how I understand those words and how it works with myself and my clients.

  • Episode 94 Bombing Out of a Meet and the Ever--Closing window for Error
    2025/05/30

This is episode I do a quick update on the moving and building process and then go on to talk about bombing out of competitions. Then I give thoughts on the ever-closing window for error as we improve and gain strength because I feel there is a tie in between these two thoughts.

  • Episode 93 With Guest Robert Bain
    2025/04/15

In this episode I get the pleasure of sitting down and talking with Robert Bain. He has a 2400+ total and runs one of the best platforms in powerlifting competitions. This episode was sparked but a post he did on his social media and I was fortunate enough he was willing to come on so we could chat more about it. The main topic of this episode is training with a team as opposed to training alone. Of course, success has been had both ways but overall, which do we feel is best. As with most of my podcast the subject matter begins to expand out from the main topic so again, I had a great time with Bain and hoping to have him on again!

  • Episode 92 Less Heavy Training Days Best Thing I Ever Did For My Strength
    2025/04/04

In this episode I talk about the best and hardest thing I ever did for my strength. It is also one of the things I have gotten the most shit for on social media. I have talked about this on more than a few podcasts but figured I would try to expand a bit in this episode for those that want to give it a listen. As I always say there is no one right or wrong way but the best way for you. In this episode I talk about why I did it for me and why we did it for my training partners. Then how I tried to meld it all together so we could all train together even though we may have needed slightly different things. In the end the way I see it is that the more often you can train, recover, and grow the faster you get to your goal. You have to be smart about this because if you're training to much you're just slowing the progress the same as not training enough.

  • Episode 90 With Guest Paul Leonard
    2025/03/22

This was another fun episode getting to sit down and just chat with the great Paul Leonard again. He has been in strength sports for so long and is just a wealth of knowledge. I actually had to make this a two parter because we talk for so long and hit so many subjects. If you ever wonder what a conversation between two old strength friends was like, well here ya go!

  • Episode 89 You Don't Have to be Tough all the Time?

This episode is about some advice I recently received. I spent a few days thinking about it and decided I would make an episode about it and how it also relates to strength training.
