  • 067 | Why We Homeschool
    2025/04/28

In this episode I outline the 5 reasons why we have chosen to start and continue homeschooling our 4 children. The main reasons are more lifestyle and less academic, and I forgot one of the main ones: fostering relationships between our children, how could I forget that?!?

Listen in for some real reasons why it works for us and watch for a follow up episode about what I see as benefits and sacrifices we've chosen and found along the way.

  • 066 | Miles Spencer's Perspective on Family and Life in the Middle East
    2025/04/14

Entrepreneur and author Miles Spencer and I sat down and had a wonderful discussion full of vivid stories inspired by his latest book, A Line in the Sand, which he co-authored with Wells Jones. The book is an adventure saga set against the back drop of the MIddle East. The inspiration came from a real life trip Miles and Wells took where they were in with the people of various regions of the Middle East and were able to stay with them, dine with them and learn about them in ways we do not see in most media.

Miles shares with me some stories of the travels and how family, food, religion and people are the same across cultures.

  • 065 | Trust Your Intuition
    2025/03/31

This episode is about a topic that is near and dear to my heart. Intuition has always been something that guided me, I have had a weakened connection to my intuition at times but it was always there, like a really good friend.

In this episode I walk you through why I think intuition is such a key factor in how we move through our day, why I trust it with big decisions and how important I think it is to show our children to use it.

Boundaries, decision, the mental load - oh my! How do all these things relate to intuition? Tune in to find out!

  • 064 | Raising a Family Without Conflict and Safer, Cleaner Water with Mark Miller
    2025/03/17

In this episode I was joined by Mark Miler, a husband, father, grandfather and passionate advocate for clean water for all.

We started our conversation by exploring Mark's upbringing and how he raised his children and he shared with me the things he thinks he got right, the things he wishes he had done differently and the things he wants others to know. It was a great persepctive of a man who has been married for 54 years and raised 5 children who love an respect him to this day.

We then moved into Mark's passion of bringin clean water to the masses through filtration systems where one isnt reliant on electricity, nor customers for life (no need to buy new filters EVER on some of the systems!).

You can find out more about Mark's water system projects and filters here: safercleanerwater.com

  • 063 | The Comparison Trap as it Relates to Relationships and Boundaries
    2025/03/03

In this solo episode I explore what the comparison trap - the need to compare ourselves to others and find fault with our lives or be envious of others, really is and how we can resist it.

Tune in to hear what I believe the underlying cause is and how I try and combat it, and my hopes and dreams for myself in continuing to try and stay in my own lane as I build the home life I want for my children.

  • 062 | All True Wealth Comes From the Ground - Self Sufficiency with Food at Home with Marjory Wildcraft
    2025/02/17

This episode was magic to me! Marjory was a very successful entrepreneur in real estate with a massive portfolio, she even worked with Rich Dad, Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki. Then she had a life changing moment at the local community centre while working on a food project where a group of people were trying to get local food in the schools. It hit Marjory how few local farms there were and how little nutrients really surrounded her. She turned her life around into gardens and more importantly small animal rearing for self sufficiency - she breaks down animal rearing over gardening in terms of calories necessary to live - it becomes so clear that we can do this, even in suburbia much of it can be taken back!

  • 061 | Shifting Our How we Run Our Lives in Different Seasons
    2025/02/03

    I'm back! It's been a minute.

In this episode I wanted to break down why I took a month off (family medical emergency and needing some space to heal as a family) and what I learned in that journey.

We get into the 3 areas I felt most compelled to make shifts in myself - expectations, boundaries and blessings- and how those shifts were best for my family and our home life through this healing journey.

    Glad to be back friends!
