Boozman College of Public Health created a stress relief cabinet to help their peers manage stress. The cabinet, which is located on the third floor of the Rahn Building, is filled with various items that can help students relax, such as coloring books, yoga mats, and fidget toys. The students interviewed their fellow students to determine common sources of stress and presented recommendations for how the college could support better stress management to leadership. The project aimed to improve student well-being, promote healthy coping mechanisms, and spread awareness about the importance of managing stress. The students, and their professor Tiffany Haynes, hope that this project will inspire other UAMS colleges to adopt similar initiatives.
