The Storm figurehead graciously gave up his time to come on the Stormcast podcast and discuss some pertinent topics including the collective effort and hard work of the club winning yet another Minor Premiership; growth of rugby league and support for the Storm in Victoria; including record average home crowd attendance and membership numbers; Storm's development pathways and Storm Academy, the exciting women's program leading to a future NRLW team, loyal and longevity commercial partners; why Vegas was not right for the club in 2025 and future commercial ventures, including the prospect of the NRL's third incarnation of its Las Vegas initiative in 2026 as an 'Away' team, the opportunity of taking a Home fixture post Magic Round agreement back to AAMI Park or exploring the possibility of a new market, be it interstate or internationally.

  • Episode 20: Inclement Storm set to smash Burrow

    Gobbs returns to review the disappointing and unexpected loss to the Dragons, who ambushed the ambush. Storm started slow, look flat and lacked energry, similarily to how they started against the Eels the week prior. It was an error ridden and undisciplined showing and as Coach Craig Bellamy suggested "we got what we deserved. Storm now look ahead to tackling the Bunnies who have has somewhat of a second half of the season resurggence under interim Coach Ben Hornby, with the game looming as another banana peel type fixture which could impact on the Minor Premiership. Miraculously, the Eels attacked in the Storm's redzone 42 times, compared to the Storm only being able to attack in the Eels redzone twice, with all of their tries coming from Storm's own side of halfway. Having to make over 100+ more tackles, Melbourne managed a remarkable 32-14 victory on the road against one of their traditional bogey teams.
