  • Bridget Hughes: Be Resilient
    2022/06/22

On this episode we welcome in an incredible leader, Bridget Hughes. Bridget is a Performance Manager at Future, and is an innovator in that she was actually one of the first coaches to work remote. Being one of the first 10 coaches at Future, she was ultimately a case study that opened the doors of opportunity for coaches to follow.

Bridget shares her keys to leadership; meeting people where they are at and speaking their language, building relationships to allow for direct honesty, and allowing space to fail, learn and be creative as there is no one path to a successful outcome.

She also shares her mindset of deliberately doing something every day that scares her, and shifting from the thought process of 'why me' to 'why NOT me' when presented with feelings of imposter syndrome.

Action: Do something today that forces you outside your comfort zone!

  • Adam Harrington: Honor The Moment
    2022/06/15

On this episode, TFHP welcomes in Adam Harrington. Adam has an impressive history in pro basketball, both as a player and a coach. He played for 8 years between the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, in the G league and in a variety of countries including China, Spain, and France. He later became a shooting coach with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and most recently the Director of Player Development for the Brooklyn Nets.

However, all of these accolades pale in comparison to how extraordinary of a human being he is. He embodies family over everything and is constantly looking to serve others and the community, evidenced by founding the JEHH Memorial Fund, which assists families, individuals and organizations to help children achieve and succeed.

Adam shares that in order to be in the NBA, or at the top of your game in any realm for a long time, you have to be able to bring out the greatness in others. By being curious, setting strong foundations, and honoring every moment he has been able to catapult his own career, and impact countless lives.

Out of family tragedy, Adam was able to not only honor his sister Jill’s legacy, but educate, empower, and encourage people across the entire globe to chase their dreams.

    2022/06/08

We are joined by the one, the only, Matt Fleekop. Matt is a performance Coach at Future, who has coached some of the highest profile clients. If you follow Oliver Hudson on Instagram, you may better know him as Matty Boom Boom. You also may have seen him recently on USA Today. His face is everywhere, and for good reason, because he has really helped revolutionize the client experience at Future.

Matt explains how to build self-confidence through habits, how we control the meaning we take from experiences in life, and how curiosity is the unlock to relationships and success.

Growth is greater than winning - better to lose than stay the same
Energy is contagious - our environment will respond to the energy we exude
Curiosity is essential - always more to learn and more opportunity to develop
We all have routines - structured routines or disorganization
Stimulus vs reaction - the meaning we take and control we have

    Listen, learn, grow, stay curious!

  • Jon Suh: It Takes What It Takes
    2022/05/18

Jon Suh is a trail blazer Coach at Future; both from a client sustainability standpoint, as well as being an innovative coach in the E-sports industry, but the story starts before that. Had Jon not pioneered within his own family, the story never gets written. In the beginning, most who work with start-ups face doubts and skepticism from friends and family, Jon faced the same doubt but with strong cultural implications as well.

Jon brings incredible honestly and vulnerability to the show, sharing the difficulties with pushing against the grain, receiving criticism, and trying to keep the loudest voice in his head, his own. There is a ton to unpack from this episode, and a lot to learn from and reflect on through Jon's journey, but some highlights:

    • Find the easiest way to take the most challenging road
    • Relationship building in a virtual world
    • Utilizing efficiency and chunking to achieve balance
    • Be the last one standing
    • Trailblazing with hope of being in a book
    • Life's hard, why not have fun

    Buckle up, and enjoy!
