Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who it is believed was put to death three days prior on the cross. In this episode Myron Hieronymous Thomas presents the history of the Preakness horse race. The 150th running of the Preakness Stakes will be held Saturday, May 17th, 2025. The history of the Preakness is interesting that while it's the 150th running of the Preakness Stakes this year and the Derby was the 151st running, the Preakness actually ran two years before the Kentucky Derby, when Pimlico introduced its new stakes race for three-year-olds in 1873.
