Khalid Mezher was the pastor of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in southern Syria. He and his family converted to Christianity years ago out of a religious group in the area known as the Druze. Violence between Druze militias and fighters from the Bedouin tribes, which are mostly Muslim, has taken the lives of hundreds of people over the last week. Evangelical leader Johnnie Moore wrote on X, “Pastor Khalid died for a faith that many Christians hardly live. They are now martyrs who gave their entire lives, in difficult circumstances, to share the love of Jesus with their neighbors and beloved Syria.” In Matthew 16:25, Jesus said, “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Puerto Rico protects kids from transsexual drugs and surgeries Puerto Rico is protecting children from transsexual drugs and surgeries. Last Wednesday, Republican Governor Jenniffer González Colón signed the Law for the Protection of the Health and Well-being of Minors in Puerto Rico. Harming children with such transsexual procedures is punishable by 15 years in prison. Puerto Rico joins nearly 30 states in America with similar bans. Japan to invest $550 billion into America President Donald Trump secured a great deal with Japan, reports The Epoch Times. On Truth Social, President Trump announced, “We just completed a massive deal with Japan, perhaps the largest deal ever made. Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 billion into the United States, which will receive 90% of the profits. “This deal will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. There has never been anything like it. Perhaps most importantly, Japan will open their country to trade including cars and trucks, rice and certain other agricultural products. … Japan will pay reciprocal tariffs to the United States of 15%.” CBS/Skydance to pay Trump Foundation $36 million President Trump recently reached a $16 million settlement with Paramount, the parent of CBS News, over what he claimed was misleading editing of a pre-election interview with the Democratic candidate for president, Kamala Harris, reports The Guardian. While CBS initially called the lawsuit “completely without merit”, Paramount is in the midst of an $8 billion sale to the Hollywood studio Skydance Media, which requires the approval of federal regulators. President Trump has claimed that the future owner of CBS will provide him with $20 million worth of advertising and programming – days after the network canceled The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “We have just achieved a BIG AND IMPORTANT WIN in our historic lawsuit against 60 Minutes, CBS, and Paramount. … CBS and its corporate owners knew that they defrauded the American people, and were desperate to settle. Paramount/CBS/60 Minutes have today paid $16 Million in settlement, and we also anticipate receiving $20 million more from the new owners, in advertising, PSAs, or similar programming, for a total of over $36 million dollars.” He added, “This is another in a long line of VICTORIES over the Fake News Media, who we are holding to account for their widespread fraud and deceit. The Wall Street Journal, The Failing New York Times, The Washington Post, MSDNC, CNN, and all other Mainstream Media Liars, are ON NOTICE that the days of them being allowed to deceive the American people are OVER.” Federal workforce shrunk by 22,000 people A report by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond found the U.S. federal workforce has shrunk by over 22,000 people from January to May of this year. Chuck Ezell, the Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, said, “The American people deserve a government that is lean, efficient, and focused on core priorities. This data marks the first measurable step toward President Trumpʼs vision of a disciplined, accountable federal workforce and itʼs only the beginning.” Trump has also extended his hiring freeze on federal workers through October. Foreign buyers purchased $56 billion worth of U.S. homes The National Association of Realtors reports that foreign buyers purchased $56 billion worth of U.S. homes from April 2024 through March 2025. The number of home purchases by foreign buyers rose to over 78,000 this year. That’s up from last year’s report, but still down from 284,000 purchases in 2017. The top destination states for foreign buyers include Florida, California, Texas, and New York. The most popular origin countries of international buyers are China, Canada, Mexico, India, and the United Kingdom. ...

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson U.S. Christian statesmen call attention to persecution of Christians U.S. Republican Congressman Riley Moore of West Virginia and Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri introduced a congressional resolution (H. Res. 594) condemning the widespread and ongoing persecution of Christians in Muslim-majority countries. On April 30th, Congressman Moore took a stand on the floor of the U.S. House. MOORE: “Today, I rise to address a grave and urgent crisis: the rampant persecution of Christians in Africa and the Middle East. Across these regions, our brothers and sisters in faith experience violence, displacement, and death for their belief in our Lord, Jesus Christ. No person or community should ever face such brutal conditions for acknowledging the name of Jesus. “In Nigeria, the situation is dire! More Christians face persecution there than any other nation combined. Since the outbreak of the Boko Haram’s insurgency in 2009, more than 18,000 churches and 2,200 Christian schools have been destroyed in northern Nigeria alone. “More than 50,000 Christians have been killed, and more than 5 million have been displaced since 2009, making it the most dangerous country in the world for Christians.” The July 17th resolution highlights the horrific slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, pastors arrested in Algeria, the torture of Christians in Yemen, the imprisonment of Christians in Iran, and other persecution taking place in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. The statement urged U.S. President Donald Trump to “prioritize the protection of persecuted Christians in U.S. foreign policy, including in the President’s diplomatic engagement with Muslim-majority countries and his efforts to stabilize the Middle East.” It further urged him to “use all diplomatic tools available, including within trade and national security discussions and negotiations, to advance the protection of persecuted Christians worldwide and within Muslim-majority countries.” Colorado Christian bookstore files lawsuit against state over pronouns A Colorado Christian bookstore is suing the state for imposing recent changes to the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act on businesses. Born Again Used Books in Colorado Springs has filed the suit through Alliance Defending Freedom, pointing out the infringement of the business’ freedom of speech under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The suit states that under Colorado’s laws, “It is now illegal for public accommodations, like independent bookstores, to refer to transgender-identifying individuals with biologically accurate language in their publications and customer interactions.” And "Born Again Used Books must instead profess an ideological view it opposes, contradict the message espoused in the very books it sells, and avoid explaining its Christian beliefs about human sexuality in store and online. In effect, the law requires this Christian bookstore to abandon its core religious beliefs." London Pentecostal church now allowed to share Christ in streets A London Pentecostal church has achieved a reversal of a ban on evangelistic outreach on the streets, reports The U.K. Standard. The local government had passed an Anti-Social Behavior, Crime and Policing Act forbidding the use of amplification equipment, the distribution of religious literature, and the display of Bible verses at the town center. The Kingsborough Centre Church filed for judicial review, and obtained a reversal. The City also paid the church’s legal costs incurred during the ordeal. Isaiah 43:16-17 says, “Thus says the Lord, Who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, Who brings forth chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick.” Brazilian Supreme Court restricts former president Jair Bolsonaro Brazil’s previous conservative president, Jair Bolsonaro, has come under severe restrictions by the Brazilian Supreme Court, reports Folha News. This comes days after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods. Bolsonaro was forced to wear an electronic ankle bracelet. He cannot access social media accounts, and is prohibited from contacting his son who lives in the United States. The former Brazilian president has denied any responsibility for Trump’s decision to impose tariffs, but also recently publicly thanked God for the election of Trump. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims slaughtered 27 Christians including 3-year-old girl At 3:00 a.m. on July 15th, the Christian village of Bindi near Jos in the Plateau State in Nigeria, was plunged into a nightmare. Twenty-seven Christians were slaughtered, including a 3-year-old girl and nine members of Pastor Davou Musa’s family, burned alive in their home, reports TruthNigeria.com. These attacks are not isolated incidents. They are part of a coordinated, radical Islamic campaign carried out by Fulani terrorists, with a mission to eradicate Christians from Nigeria and establish a Muslim caliphate. The perpetrators shouted “Allahu Akbar” as they hacked, shot, and burned families alive. One pastor shed light on what that Arabic phrase means. PASTOR: “Allah Akbar. Some will translate that as ‘God is great.’ ‘ Perhaps a better translation of that Arabic phrase is, ‘Our God is greater.’ This is a declaration that the demon and demons working through these people consider themselves to be greater than Jesus Christ, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. “Ephesians 6:[12] says that our war is not just ‘against flesh and blood, but powers, principalities and spirits.’ Practically, what this means is, when you see conflict in the seen realm, there is far greater conflict in the unseen realm. And when you hear, ‘Our God is greater,’ that is a declaration of spiritual warfare from a demon against Jesus Christ, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob.” And where was the military? Just two miles away, but they arrived two hours late, a disturbing pattern of complicity that Christians have endured over and over again. Huckabee rebukes attackers of Christian church in Palestinian town U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee condemned recent attacks on a Christian village and its historic church in the West Bank, calling them “a crime against humanity and God,” reports The Christian Post. His statement came after visiting the site of the arson and ongoing harassment. Huckabee travelled Saturday to Taybeh, a Christian Palestinian town that residents say has endured a wave of assaults by Israeli settlers in recent weeks, according to The Times of Israel. The attacks include a fire set near the ruins of the Church of St. George, which church leaders described as among the most severe incidents to date. Huckabee, a longtime Evangelical supporter of Israel, said during his visit that the desecration of religious sites represented “an act of terror” and that such actions should carry “harsh consequences.” Trump diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after leg swelling Last Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt gave the press an update on President Donald Trump's health. She told reporters that he has experienced mild swelling in his lower legs, according to a memo from Dr. Sean Barbarella, the physician to the president. LEAVITT: “The president underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies. Bilateral lower extremity veinous doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign, common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.” Leavitt also talked about photos showing some minor bruising on the back of the President's hand. She explained the bruising is a minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, reports CBN News. Intercessors for America featured this prayer. Back in November 2020, the Muslim terrorist group, Boko Haram, slit the throats of 43 Christian farmers who were farming rice. Some were fishermen. Ukrainian parliament picks new Prime Minister The Ukrainian parliament voted on July 17 to confirm Yuliia Svyrydenko as the new prime minister in a major cabinet shake-up. Svyrydenko, a 39-year-old economist, was tapped by President Volodymyr Zelensky to replace Denys Shmyhal after his five years in office. The new prime minister was confirmed with the support of 262 votes, with 22 voting against her and 26 abstaining. The reshuffle takes place as Ukraine continues to resist Russia's full-scale invasion while seeking to navigate a transforming relationship with its key international supporter, the United States. Mike Pence: Trump should release all Epstein files On Wednesday, CBS’ Major Garrett asked former Vice President Mike Pence about the controversy swirling around the alleged Epstein list, reports the Gateway Pundit. It allegedly reveals the names of wealthy men who participated in the sex trafficking of girls and young women through the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. Listen. GARRET: “President Trump said that the Jeffrey Epstein matter is a hoax. Last week, his justice department said there were more than 1,000 victims of Jeffrey Epstein. Last summer, Trump said he was open to declassifying all the relevant files and the Epstein client list and that his suicide looks suspicious. How can all those things be true and it be a hoax? I don't understand where things stand with all this.” PENCE: “I think the time has come for the administration to release all of the files regarding Jeffrey Epstein's investigation and prosecution. It's important that we protect the names of the victims. They should be excluded from any disclosure. “But whether or not the facts justify charges, I think that anyone who participated or was associated with this despicable man ought to be held up to public scrutiny.” Numbers 32:23 says, “Be sure: your sin will find you out.” Possible tropical depression off Gulf of America The weather system moving across the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday was showing a greater chance of becoming a tropical depression as it moves toward the northern Gulf Coast, according to the National Hurricane Center. The system has a 40 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression as it moves west over the Gulf of America toward southeastern Louisiana. The tropical weather will affect Alabama and Mississippi as well. New Orleans is bracing for 3 to 5 inches of rain through Saturday, but some areas could see as much as 10 inches. Camp Mystic counselor, who died in flood, worked with special needs kids 19-year-old Katherine Ferruzzo was devoted to caring for children, from the campers in her cabin at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas to the students with special needs who she helped as a teacher aide at Spring Branch elementary schools, reports the San Antonio Express-News. She planned to become a special education teacher after arriving at the University of Texas at Austin this fall to start her freshman year. Tragically, Ferruzzo died in the Fourth of July floods that swept through Camp Mystic, an all-girls Christian summer retreat along the Guadalupe River in western Kerr County. She had been the only counselor who remained unaccounted for, when her family members said in a statement that her remains had been found last Friday. Her family said they are establishing the Katherine Ferruzzo Legacy Foundation “to honor Katherine and her compassion for those with special needs and learning differences.” She recently graduated from Memorial High School, where she helped set up the school’s debut Unity Game, a mini-football game in which students with special needs could play football, cheerlead, or play in the band. She was one of at least 28 Camp Mystic counselors and campers along with owner Richard Eastland who died in the July 4th flood. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark West Bank Christian communities attacked by Israeli settlers Christian communities in the West Bank are experiencing increasing attacks from Israeli settlers. Last Monday, Jewish extremists targeted the Palestinian Christian town of Taybeh. They attacked houses and started fires near the community’s historic church building. The Council of Patriarchs and Heads of Churches of Jerusalem released a statement, saying, “The attacks by the hands of settlers against our community, which is living in peace, must stop, both here in Taybeh and elsewhere throughout the West Bank. This is clearly part of the systematic attacks against Christians that we see unfolding throughout the region.” Church of England affirms sexual perversion for clergy … again The Church of England voted Tuesday to remove a 1991 teaching document on sexuality from its ordination process. The document, entitled Issues in Human Sexuality, said that clergy should not live in homosexual relationships. However, church leaders said the document now appears “prejudicial and offensive.” The Church of England has allowed clergy to enter homosexual civil partnerships since 2005. Last year, it approved services of blessing for homosexual couples. Isaiah 5:20 says, “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness.” Christian non-profit victorious in case against ChatGPT In the United States, a Christian non-profit won a religious freedom lawsuit against one of the biggest artificial intelligence organizations around. OpenAI offers a 20% non-profit discount for a ChatGPT subscription unless an organization is religious. A Christian non-profit named Holy Sexuality challenged this policy with the help of Alliance Defending Freedom. In response, OpenAI reversed course and offered the discount. It also removed religious discrimination language from its policy. Dr. Christopher Yuan, the founder of Holy Sexuality, said, “Some corporations—especially tech companies—emboldened by intersectional ideology and anti-Christian sentiment, choose to unlawfully discriminate based solely on religion. We are grateful for this victory.” Fourth Circuit upholds West Virginia ban on abortion kill pill On Tuesday, the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld West Virginia’s ban on the Abortion Kill Pill called mifepristone. The challenge to the ban came from GenBioPro, a company that produces the killing drug. The case marks the first time a federal appeals court has allowed states to restrict access to mifepristone. West Virginia Republican Governor Patrick Morrisey responded to the ruling, “West Virginia can continue to enforce our pro-life laws and lead the nation in our efforts to protect life. We will always be a pro-life state!” Senate Republicans pass $9 billion budget cut U.S. Senate Republicans advanced a $9 billion rescission bill on Tuesday with the tie-breaking vote of Vice President J.D. Vance. The measure follows President Donald Trump’s agenda to cut spending on foreign aid and public broadcasting. Republicans must have the bill ready to be signed by Friday for the rescissions to be enacted. Listen to comments from Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune. THUNE: “Later today, the Senate will begin consideration of the Trump administration's rescissions package reining in waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government is a priority shared by President Trump and by Senate Republicans. “I appreciate all the work the administration has done in identifying wasteful spending. And now it's time for the Senate to do its part to cut some of that waste out of the budget. It's a small but important step toward fiscal sanity that we all should be able to agree is long overdue.” Christian and Gospel music seeing a resurgence Christian and Gospel music is seeing a resurgence, according to a report on music streaming trends by Luminate. The Christian/Gospel genre moved up to seventh place in the top 10 U.S. music genres this year. And Christian music ranked fourth among the highest-growth genres. The report found Christian music listeners are mostly female, and the top generation listening to Christian music is Millennials. Deacon given free truck after protecting church from gunman And finally, WXYZ reports a church deacon in Michigan received a new truck recently after preventing a mass shooting at his church last month. On Sunday, June 22, a shooter opened fire outside CrossPointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan. In God’s providence, Deacon Richard Pryor was running late. He saw the gunman heading to the church’s front door, dressed in camouflage and bearing an AR-15 style rifle as well as more than a dozen fully-loaded magazines....

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Christians losing property rights in India, Nepal and Pakistan International Christian Concern reports Christians are losing their property rights and access to land in South Asian nations like India, Nepal, and Pakistan. In particular, India’s second-most populous state of Maharashtra plans to demolish hundreds of church buildings within six months. Officials claim the structures are unauthorized, and many of them are in tribal areas. The government also plans to enact an anti-conversion law. Such laws are often used to target Christians in the country. Currently, 12 of 28 states in India have anti-conversion laws. South Asian nations like India are ranked on the Open Doors’ World Watch List as some of the most difficult places to live as a Christian. World population growth slowing down Pew Research recently released world population projections for the next 75 years. The global population more than tripled over the last 75 years from 2.5 to 8.2 billion people. However, population growth is expected to slow down, only reaching 10.2 billion by 2100. Currently, the most populous countries in the world are China, India, and the U.S. China’s population is expected to shrink by more than half over the next 75 years, while the U.S. and India are expected to grow slightly. Global population growth is projected to primarily come from nations in Africa like Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. 10th anniversary of undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood This week marks 10 years since the Center for Medical Progress released their first undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood. Executives for the abortion giant were caught discussing how they sold the body parts of murdered babies. The undercover investigation has contributed to efforts for defunding Planned Parenthood. Troy Newman, the president of Operation Rescue, served as a founding member on the board of the Center for Medical Progress. He said, “I am honored to have been a part of this historic investigation, even though it came at great personal cost to those of us involved in revealing the horrific truth about the illicit trade in aborted baby parts. Today’s Planned Parenthood is vastly different from what it was in 2015. Trump wants Federal Reserve to lower interest to save trillion dollars The U.S. consumer price index rose by 0.3% last month. That put the 12-month inflation rate at 2.7%. Prices have been generally decreasing over the last year, but the inflation rate is still above the Federal Reserve’s target of 2%. Trump responded to the news by calling on the Fed to lower interest rates by three points. He said this would save an estimated one trillion dollars on debt payments. Bible readers most likely to volunteer in community And finally, the American Bible Society released the fourth chapter of its State of the Bible USA 2025 report. The chapter evaluated activities that promote wellbeing like physical exercise, spending time with a friend, volunteering in the community, meditation, and praying to God. The study found people who engage the most with the Bible are also the most likely to engage in those activities, especially volunteering in the community. Such activities were also associated with higher levels of hope and lower levels of stress, anxiety, and loneliness. And the Sudan Armed Forces destroyed a Pentecostal church complex in Khartoum last week. Persecuted Chinese church perseveres Chinese Pastor Wang Yi’s church has continued moving ahead despite their pastor’s arrest and 9-year-prison sentence. According to China Aid director, Bob Fu, they have planted two additional churches, Praise God that the Chinese House Church movement is growing. That’s not the only thing growing. So is the homeschooling movement, reports World Magazine in an article entitled, “Hard choices ahead for homeschoolers in China.” Kentucky church shooter killed 2 women, wounded policeman The suspect in a church shooting in Lexington, Kentucky, has been identified as 47-year-old Guy House. An aspiring rapper, House shot a police officer and killed two women at Richmond Road Baptist Church, before he was shot down by police officers. The wounded police officer is recovering. Two other church members were also wounded in the shooting, reports The-Independent.com. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.” Pro-perversion and pro-abortion European group targets Christians The European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights has issued a report attacking the Christian faith. It was funded by George Soros and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The report cites the enemy, by listing Christian people and organizations who represent traditional Christian values. Paul Coleman, Director of Alliance Defending Freedom International, called the report “a thinly veiled attempt to silence ideological opponents under the guise of academic research,” reports Hungary Today. Bitcoin doubled in value in one year The value of one Bitcoin has topped $120,000, reports NBC News. That’s almost exactly double what it was just a year ago, and twelve times the value of five years ago. Gold is up 40% over a year ago, and silver is up 28%. Supreme Court gives Trump green light to dismantle Dept of Education Yesterday, the US Supreme Court issued a decision allowing for the Trump administration’s plan to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education, reports NBC News. In a 6-3 vote, the high court allows for Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to fire 1,400 employees — amounting to about half of the department workforce. Trump’s 2026 budget funds 2,179 employees compared to 4,099 working during the 2024 fiscal year. More young adults lean Republican Young people are moving Republican. A new Yale Youth Poll finds 18 to 21-year-olds leaning Republican by 12 points, while the older group of 22 to 29-year-olds still favor Democrats by 6.4 points. On April 24, a Texas woman, identified as Natasha Marie O’Dell, pleaded guilty to intentionally setting fire to Seattle Laestadian Lutheran Church in Snohomish County, Washington, on August 25, 2023. The blaze destroyed much of the church, and damage to the property was placed at $3.2 million. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, O’Dell admitted to telling “various acquaintances that she was angry about churches and specifically with [that one].” An Arizona man, identified as Zimnako Salah, was found guilty of a hate crime on April 3, 2025, after he targeted Christian churches with bomb threats. Salah intentionally attempted to intimidate Christians because of their faith, according to a special finding from a federal jury. After visiting four churches in Arizona, California, and Colorado, Salah left backpacks at two of them to cause fear among congregants. Although there were no bombs in the packs, improvised explosive device components were found in Salah’s storage unit. The man had also consumed violent videos of the Islamic State group on social media. In John 15:18, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.” FBI closes the case on Jeffrey Epstein The late Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier and child sex offender who assaulted 36 girls, some as young as 14, reported the Miami Herald. For years, it’s been rumored that Epstein did not act alone, but trafficked these girls to his prominent and wealthy male clients. Allegedly, Epstein used such a list to blackmail them. In an unsigned DOJ/FBI memo, which was released Sunday, July 6th, it says, “This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’ There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions.” The memo also said, “After a thorough investigation, FBI investigators concluded that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City on August 10, 2019.
