Unconditional Love #4 - Thoughts and Emotions that Separate Us from Aligning with Unconditional Love

  • サマリー

  • In today's Sunday meditation, we explore thoughts and emotions that contradict our intention to align with unconditional love. What da heck does that really mean?

Check with our feelings first: when we are joyful, peaceful, patient, positive & forbearing in times of darkness, able to be loving and forgiving, able to experience the behavior of others without feeling easily offended, attacked, insulted; able to control our tempers when provoked, feeling empowered to choose thoughts, emotions, decisions, actions that align with our highest values and that best serve self and the community, able to offer compassion to ourselves for "weaknesses" and be forgiving of others, and so on -- then we're aligned with unconditional love.

We don't climb that hill and stay there; we get out of alignment and feel that we're off, and then do our best to return. How? Identifying and surrendering thoughts of lack, limitation, scarcity, shame, judgement is a great start. In meditation practice, we allow thoughts and emotions to arise that we can assess for how much they keep us on the path of alignment, or how much they keep us trapped in insecure, victim thinking.
