After a surprise health scare, Beth turned to traditional medicine for help, but her worries and concerns fell on deaf ears. With nothing else to lose she turned to Eastern methods of healing and it was like magic! This discovery led her to do more research and she began to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. Beth shares with us the story of what led her to become a health and wellness educator.

    Beth’s path to becoming an advocate for self-care and a wellness educator began after she recovered from a serious health ailment. After receiving traditional treatment, she knew she needed something more for her recovery. This lead her to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and other ancient healing methods. Beth’s commitment to her education has taken her all over the world. She traveled to Japan to study with the last living Master of Jin Shin Jyutsu, a specialized form of acupressure.

Last year, she started a podcast & blog as ways for her to put good into the world & encourage others with chronic pain, mental health issues, or previous trauma.

    Ross State University, and a Bachelor of Anatomy, Doctor of Chiropractic, and Master of Strength & Performance from Parker University. Dr. McAlister coaches powerlifting at both the high school and

    national level and is active in his local community by volunteering and supporting high schools in North Texas. He is also the Sports Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach in Texas.

He tells us how he went from serving time in prison - to making $8.00 and hour - to building a 6 figure business and the obstacles and struggles he faced on each level. We discuss black parenthood and the importance of show up for our youth.

    J Haleem went from working for $8.00 an hour at the Hampton Inn, to earning 6 figures as a Commercial Photographer in just a few years. He was able to accomplish all this while being a convicted felon. While working for $8.00 an hour he developed his mantra #I Won’t Starve which was the catalyst for him to leave his job after only one year. Over his career, he’s been able to work with international brands like Nike, Save The Children Foundation, NFL, Amtrak & The WNBA. 

    Since then, he has become pardoned, and now is a best-selling author and motivational speaker. J Haleem uses the #I Won’t Starve message to encourage and motivate students, entrepreneurs and career-oriented individuals. His goal is to inspire you to build a platform to ensure U Won’t Starve.
